Planning a home renovation or addition can be a daunting task. There are so many things that need to be accomplished on a project, from initial planning to design, to material selection, to construction. To help with this process, B.J. Burnham Design has the expertise and experience to help you achieve your goals.
B.J. Burnham Design, established in 1997, has created a niche in the building industry as consultants and designers for residential and commercial projects. We will design the renovation, including plans, elevations and details, give guidance in selection of materials for the project, recommend builders/contractors, and be available as liaison between the client and the builder/contractor.
We are also capable of handling whole house design from concept to working drawings.

Owner
Barbara Burnham started her company in 1997 after working several years in the kitchen cabinet industry. She realized that many of her clients did not know how to handle the many details involved in home renovation. She has developed the skills to be successful at:

Designing the space to fit the clients lifestyle.

Advising the client regarding selection of builder/contractor.

Creating a selection list of materials to keep the client within their budget.

Creating a timeline for purchasing, delivery and installation of building products.

Being a liaison between client and builder/contractor, keeping communication open so everyone can work effectively together.

Making sure all elements of the project are completed.

Barbara has a degree in Industrial Design from Michigan State University, is a licensed builder, and is a member of the Home Builders Association of Southeast Michigan.
